This spring sensory activity was the warm up for handwriting tasks this week. Using the tweezers and scoop develops hand eye coordination,tripod finger isolation, hand strength and bilateral coordination. A simple visual task plan is so important for lots of children who attend sessions They offer security in knowing the plan and they help to manage expectations with a clear start and finish. As part of the RSPB School grounds watch, all of the children taking part in the GOATI project used a tick sheet to count the number of birds they saw during a 30 minute session.
